Biography
Priska M. Thomas was born in Basel, Switzerland.
At a young age, she moved to the Alps above Lake Geneva.
From there, she went on to travel and work in Australia, Cornwall, Israel, Kenya and Italy.
For the past forty years, she has lived with her husband in a village in the wooded countryside near Basel,
surrounded by a close-knit community, and continues to spend extended periods in Cornwall, the Black Forest and Italy.
The experiences and impressions gathered in these very different places have found their way into her novels.
A journalist by profession, she did not begin writing fiction until after her retirement.
Her novels have been published by independent Swiss publishers whose carefully curated lists include works
that stand apart from the mainstream of contemporary German-language fiction.
